To eradicate period poverty in the Greater Sarasota area and raise awareness about its impact on the dignity and health of our community. We take action through community engagement and direct intervention with the unsheltered and those in need.

Sanitary supplies are costly and not covered by Medicaid or food stamps. Unsheltered or low income individuals may extend wear or use alternative materials when they do not have the funds to purchase. This places their health at risk, as well as cause them to miss school or work.

Making Miracles Happen Inc dba The Period Project Sarasota is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and charitable organization, established in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2021 and registered in Sarasota, Florida in 2024. Your tax deductible donation is used locally to support the unsheltered and low income who struggle to afford sanitary supplies.
